I know some amazing parents. I even have some - which I wouldn't have admitted when I was 14...
Parenting, as you parents know, is hard. Constantly being 'on'. The thought that it is up to you to shape and mould this little adult into a member of our society - with all the attributes that you hope you've instilled in them. Man, that's one big and daunting task.
I ran across this article and thought you might enjoy reading it. It speaks to those moments of parenthood when you just want to rip your hair out instead of cherishing each moment because it all goes by so fast.

  1. It's so funny that you posted this.

This past week has been a nightmare, fussy crying baby, no sleep and overly opinionated neighbour who decided to tell me that my baby was and crying the other night because I don;t have enough milk and my baby is hungry....

I am not enjoying right now. I am trying but I am failing. I've also had numerous people tell me to enjoy these moments because before i know it blah blah blah....but i'm not. I'm lost. I can only hope that the little mantra that I chant to myself for the hundredth time that day is right; this too shall pass...

    good article.

  2. First of all - you can tell that neighbour of yours...well...something really witty that I just can't think
of right now and essentially to mind their own business.
If it makes you feel any better, I didn't really like my kid for the whole month of December. It was a nightmare!! Birthday + 4 Christmases, travelling, etc. He was a jerk the whole month. BUT - then things change and we'll have a few good weeks before the moon or the starts or whatever becomes misaligned again and we start all over. Today my good moment was listening to Gage in the backseat of the car saying to his stuffed penguin "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby penguin you will be". Ha! Melted my heart....
